Have you had a rewarding experience from dropping your schedule and just following your heart?
Monday I dropped off my partner to his acupuncture appointment. Kevin and I only have one car, so Kane and I would have to wait for an hour. Usually we would stay there reading or playing games on my phone but I was in sort of a rut again. I knew that if my son and I would stay there in the car reading or playing games that time would pass by rather slowly and most likely I would still be in my energy funk. Not to mention I had only one percent left on my phone and no charger with me. I decided that I would head out to the local crystal shop. Kane loves playing in this big trough of assorted tumbled stones and I would be able to find a stone to help me transmute this energy into my heart again.
I closed my eyes and using the practice my dear friend Annwyn Hanham taught me, I called for Lady Quan Yin’s energy to grace my heart. I usually do not call upon devas or goddesses but with Annwyn’s workshop I attended last weekend, I experienced living so much from the heart that I knew that she could help guide me on my way. Lady Master Quan Yin was a bodhisattva (considered a step below the buddha), was a student of one of Gautama Buddha from the twelfth century. Bodhisattvas are people who have found enlightenment within their lifetime but choose to stay behind to help humanity raise consciousness. If the rumours are true about Jesus traveling West during his young adulthood he would be considered a bodhisattva as an example. It is said that because she lived so much from her heart, she lived to be eight hundred years old. She is the goddess of compassion and grace.I tapped the favourite places on my GPS, saved as the crystal shop and off I drove. As I drove, for some reason my Tom-tom was taking me in the opposite direction, that I could remember, this was not the direction that the crystal shop was located. In my heart, I felt a pull to ignore my intellectual process and keep driving. As I kept driving, I approached the tunnel to Lyttelton, twenty-minutes away from the crystal shop, too far to turn around, I thought to myself, “Quan Yin wants me to be here.” Luckily, there is a beautiful playground in this beautiful community, I thought I would just let Kane play for fifteen to twenty minutes and then head off to pick up Kevin from his appointment.
As I stepped out of the car, I looked across the road and much to my surprise and delight, Annwyn and her two lovely grandchildren appeared from around the corner. She came across the street and gave me a huge hug. She asked if her grandchildren would like to play and off we went to talk and connect for the next twenty minutes, while the children played. Quan Yin had lead me to her direct channel and soon I was channeling this energy once again. What I am being shown during this eclipse period is to shed the “heaviness” that often comes with “being spiritual” in so many communities. Ever since I was a little girl I have had this yearning in me to help the suffering planet and help heal humanity.
Quan Yin and Annywyn are reminding me everyday that there is a joyful, ecstatic state when you live from the heart. I am asked to live form the heart of a child with a bliss of living in the moment and spreading that unconditional love with others. There is an openness, a light feeling, a freedom and a grace that come with this state of consciousness. I am (and you are) a spiritual being and being a spirit, means the more I let go of the heaviness, the more of spirit I become. I flow with life’s processes because unlike this bone and blood; rock and ocean, I can move with spirit like a warm, soft breeze. Open to the moment and your heart will open too.
