Why I AM Both Science and Spirit

When I was little I used to love science with a burning passion. If you called my name you could always find me laying around with my nose deep in a biology, astronomy or anatomy book. If I wasn’t there I was watching some nature documentary or maybe just outside trying to be an actual scientist studying nature. I wanted to be an archeologist pulling up pieces of history to tell a story; within lost ruins and old kings that had long been forgotten, only for me to resurrect their memory. Somewhere deep in an exotic forest or in a vast desert with only my only journal, tools and spiralling thought processes. But then my own biology or belief got in the way, I wasn’t good enough or didn’t have the attention span for math. Although I could look at any geometry test without any measurements and pass it with only guesses (I understand sacred geometry) I could never “get” algebra. That is what I needed to become a scientist or certified healer but then again something was always missing at the heart of it all in our society. I just didn’t understand the number sequences, just as I didn’t understand most people who were excelling in classes like biology along with me. They looked at the world with no emotion, they calculated all of the outcomes instead of feeling them. I could not relate and the more I looked around, the more I could see that science had not only been the solution as my schooling had adamantly advocated. It was actually causing many problems around the world. Looking around I saw science conquering the land, crushing it, poisoning it and galging it of it’s resources as well as it’s people. This is not what I saw science as but more of a scientist I saw myself as, as the constant curiosity not the one who had all of the answers.

I ventured away from that got lost in New York city for a year and then while looking up at the stars, they finally answered my vibrational call. I went the complete opposite or at least what I thought would be. I started working for a Chiropractor. Now here was something that resonated with my spirit. Dr. John Ashcraft explained that the body was an incredible machine, perfect in design, not something to conquer but to aid in it’s process if blocked. “You see” he would say, “there is only interference that blocks the body’s ability to heal itself.” That stress whether it be physical, chemical or emotional was the causer. He himself was very calculated and over achiever, a beautifully powerful spirit that had so much energy. He was always quite slender, athletic but slender from life force always exuding from him like coursing electricity. He would answer the phone to a person who was so angry you could swear steam was pouring out of their ears and shortly after talking to him they would both be laughing hysterically. He could create the most beautiful relationships with the most sceptical M.D. Creating massive alliances between himself, a holistic practitioner and the medical personnel. He showed me that there was a bridge from the Western domineering sciences to the ancient holistic and intuitive guidance of a doctor. He answered the question I had always been asking for years, “Can science ask it’s question and still respect it’s subject once the question is answered?”

So many doctors and surgeons look at their subjects as just that, a dummy on a table for them to conquer. When that is a person with life force, with family and unique passions running through their veins. Biologists collecting and counting species forget to look at the incredible vast inspiration within their work. Even more some of the holistic sciences still hold themselves as the victor and healer instead of the guidance system to show people they are the source. A healer in this society is someone who comes to save the day, your health is their trophy, their tally on the wall of their egocentric pedestal or the pay-check to their next vacation. Even religion is lost in this paradigm these days feeling spite and disgust if they do not convert you, adding you to the tally of followers. Those avenues are lifeless, there is no passion. There is no spirit and therefore no truth. I am not saying all western medicine or all statues in religion or politics but most of the pathways through these avenues these days. I do think that science is a wonderful thing when all sentient beings are considered. For example: Nikola Teslas work would have made free energy for all with no expenses, if you haven’t heard of him it is because the bankers couldn’t make money from him, look him up.

I found my truth when I observed indigenous cultures, their way of living is simple yet profound. Not in the dogma to attach to any one indigenous culture but the theme that looped them all together. See I have indigenous blood in my veins, I am Native American but labelling myself as this only causes more separation even the European settlers that journeyed to far away lands once had a tribal family and connection to their land the only reason they left was becuase they were separated from that line themselves.

See the true healing, their healing, your healing was never the one that was visible. There was never a healer to come and cut out and sew up the problem but more of a leading you back to yourself. In their culture they give you a herbal remedy or asked what emotional disturbance had happened to heal this before it gets the point of needing the surgery. They have saved live who never even knewn they were in danger to begin with. They are conservationist, health experts, and the true holders of nobel peace prize. To the westerner their way is invisible though because they speak a different language and not just literally but figuratively. Their efforts which aren’t efforts but everyday acts, would never result in heavy equipment, elaborate medical performances or pills because they prevent the problems in the first place.

Most of all that is missing is the disconnection, is the separation. The thought that science is superior to the land, yet the science is trying to heal the land. You cannot master or conquer something without smothering the other out. The thought that a doctor is the only source of health. The thought that science is separated from spirit. Science is just encoding what spirit already is and science can only begin to explore the vast infinite nature of what spirit is indefinitely. So then why is science trusted over spirit in this culture. Why is our own voice inside silenced at the expense of someone “above us”?

The truth is there have, since the beginning of humanity as we know it been mighty oceans and rich oxygenated skies, the sun burning bright in that sky to give us light and life. These things can not be conquered because in an instant they could swallow us. The reason we feel so vast is because we are made of these elements to begin with. The indigenous and holistic ancients knew this. They were seeking to understand what already is and to respectfully work along side this great spirit animating everyone and everything including it’s observer (us). Without this fractal, you being the observer a finger of the universe itself, a facet of the universal fern; you would not be able to observe this realm. The people of this land of New Zealand are called the Maori. In their culture Maori, (from what I understand) means life force and the ocean is a guidance system, a vast and living creature. Not in the sense that movies or religion have conditioned most to view a creature but more of a whole ecosystem that guards us from destruction, the demise of this planet and it’s people. Even the word people is a separation in the English language, it is one human being; an inanimate object. In the Maori culture they call the people, life force. They knew that with our hand comes a lovely and interconnected path. We are the cumulative animation of the planet. The stewards and allies to the land and it’s creature. Most have come far from this place. Most have come far from listening to the voice within our united heart.

I have so many people who say to me,

“Please, just tell me what I need to do to be happy.”

and I look at them and say,

” You already know within.”

The teacher, the doctor, the politician in our paradigm is someone who takes away your power by holding knowledge like a carrot in front of your face but a true teacher will point to your own inner knowing. That is the only universal truth.
